Hans, 

As is the company long standing company tradition we are planning to give gifts to our key customers this Christmas. Normally we have 3 levels of gift; Large Gift worth c. $800; Medium Gift worth $400; Small Gift worth $50. Since 2014 we have not given an Extra-Large Gift which had no limit attached to it. 

This year I suggest we give money for the Small Gifts rather than buying a present and more personal gifts for the Medium Gifts to reflect the status of the recipients. They could include monogrammed Symthson wallets or Chivas Regal 25YO Scotch Whisky. 

Normally we would reserve the large gifts for CEOs of companies that have given us a lot of work during the year. However, I propose to revive the category of Extra Large Gift this year to reflect the need to thank various members of the board of India Private Motors Limited and encourage them to source the painted exterior door handles (metal inserts with BPT plastic injection moulded covers which are then painted body colour) and vacuum formed speaker trays (moulded PVC and ABS). This category of gift was last given in 2016 to some senior members of Erfde India and in 2017 to Ashok Leyland to secure contracts. As you know this potential contract with India Private Motors Limited could be worth $1.8 million p.a. over its 10-year life. I suggest we allocate $200,000 to Christmas gifts for the company’s senior managers. We could use Alia PR to give this gift as we did before if you feel it more appropriate to not appear publicly to be involved.
